日本人特有の言い回しに「はだいろ」という言葉があります。
日本という共同体の中で「はだいろ」という言葉によって
素朴に疎通しあえた時代はすでに過去のものとなりつつありますが、
だからこそ、この言葉に懐かしくも日本的な響きを感じることができるように思います。
国際化の進む時代のなかで、未来への展望と過去への郷愁をこめてこのタイトルをつけました。
様々な人体の部位をクローズアップした写真で構成された色環です。
私の身近にいた様々な国の出身者に協力してもらいサンプリングして作成しています。
毎日鏡を見るうちに人体の持つ色の不思議さに感動し、バラエティーに富んだ色素を秩序だて、
整理することで生まれる美しさを提示してみたいと思い、作りました。
Japanese commonly used a peculiar word “Hadairo”, flesh color in English. This word seems no longer used these days in Japan, so we can feel nostalgia for Japan from this word. We give this title with the feelings of a vista for the future and nostalgia for the past. This artwork consists of pictures of various human parts, making a color ring. We created this artwork with the help of people from various countries.
The motivation of this artwork is that I am impressed with the skin color of human by looking at myself in a mirror everyday, and I wanted to show the beauty by arranging a variety of skin colors.
